LINK DOMINION PROJECT

The Link Dominion project features two state-of-the-art industrial buildings designed to meet the needs of modern businesses. The larger of the two, located at 2360 Fremont Street, is a four-storey building with 86,535 square feet, while the building at 2378 Fremont Street offers 82,150 square feet on three levels. Each building is designed to provide versatile, highly efficient space for a variety of industrial applications. As a structural engineer, I led the design process, focusing on innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that enhance the functionality and resiliency of the buildings.

At New Age Engineering, our commitment to pushing the boundaries of structural design continues to be reflected in projects like Link Dominion, where we prioritize sustainability and efficiency.

Sharon’s finished projects include, but not limited to

1. Heli-One New Facility – Delta
Location: 8300-80th Street, Delta
Total Area: 184,644 sq ft
Project Type: Office and Manufacturing Facility
Structure: Tilt-Up Wall Construction

The Heli-One facility in Delta, designed under the CTA Design Group, showcases the expertise of Sharon, our Principal Structural Engineer. She meticulously designed all structural elements of this modern, two-storey, 184,644 square foot building. Utilizing tilt-up wall construction for optimum efficiency and durability, the facility meets the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry for helicopter maintenance and overhaul.

2. Kal Tire Head Office – Vernon, BC
Location: 1540 Kalamalka Lake Road, Vernon
Total area: 85,318 sq ft
Project Type: Office Building
Structure: 3-storey office complex

The Kal Tire Head Office, located in Vernon, BC, is an advanced structural engineering designed by Sharon during her time at CTA Design Group. This modern three-storey building spans 85,318 square feet and serves as a dynamic corporate headquarters for Kal Tire, characterized by both functionality and aesthetic elegance. A highlight is the cantilevered concrete staircase, an architectural marvel that connects the floors with a seamless, floating appearance, making the staircase both a practical feature and a focal point of the office environment.

3. Dayhu Industrial Complex
Building #1: 4350-80th Street, Delta, BC
Building #2: 8181 Churchill Street, Delta, BC

As a structural engineer with CTA Design Group, Sharon designed two facilities comprising over 866,000 square feet of modern warehouse space. Utilizing tilt-up construction, these buildings are designed for durability and operational efficiency, creating robust structures that support complex logistics requirements.

4. Sharon has also led the the structural design of four large warehouses for Hopewell Development in Surrey, BC, as listed below. These buildings were designed with both efficiency and sustainability in mind. Utilizing tilt-up wall construction, each facility is uniquely optimized to improve warehousing and distribution operations through intelligent engineering solutions. The designs feature high ceilings and large open areas essential for complex logistics processes, as well as long-term sustainability and operational flexibility, making them unique in industrial construction.
